Our philosophy is to teach the importance of education, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and motivation, while instilling solid basketball fundamentals. We will coach/train players as if they were in a Division 1 program, and we will demand the execution of proper basketball techniques. This will enable them to compete at a higher level while they are playing with their respective School teams and the A-Game Athletes Basketball program.
Being able to empower young men and women with the skillset and confidence to reach their goals is the richest reward I could ever receive from coaching.
My son has been with Coach Mikel Ray for several years and it is amazing to see the growth he has had athletically, physically, personally, and spiritually due to Coach Ray. My sons confidence and strength has changed tremendously. He is by far one of the best coaches and role-models I have ever seen. Coach Ray has a true passion and such a positive energy for what he does and has a true investment in each person he works with. I can't say enough about how awesome he is!! Coach Ray has been such a huge positive influence for my son & our family.
In my experience with Coach Ray, I think that I have learned a lot and I love working with him because it is a huge learning moment for everyone. Doing while having it explained helps even more more. I think that pretty much anyone can benefit from training with him.
Coach Ray lit the fire under my girl-- she's up off the couch & working every day to become a better player for her upcoming 8th grade season. This is AFTER volleyball practice.... 👍🏼
I typically run a player through a skills evaluation based off previous experience history. I focus on fundamental building in order to help a players confidence continuously grow.

students should think about what they want to gain from the game and how much time they are willing to put in to develop into the player the desire to be.
