Certified English Teacher And Experienced Math Tutor

I am a certified English teacher and current graduate student in the same field at the University of North Texas. I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from Texas Wesleyan University where I earned a 4.0 GPA in my major work and five Dean's List awards. I graduated with departmental honors after writing a 43-page thesis paper and I was chosen to receive the Ruth Keating Literary Award two years in a row. I also have an Associate's degree from Tarrant County College where I was on the Dean's List both semesters of my final year.

I have over 17 years of experience tutoring in mathematics (K-6, pre-algebra, algebra 1 and 2, and geometry), English (grammar, reading comprehension, writing), and ACT and SAT preparation. I have also tutored pre-AP and AP students in-school as part of the nationally-acclaimed AVID program. I believe my passion for teaching others and my experience combine to make me an effective educator.
