About
My name’s Mario Fraga, longtime music teacher and performer on piano, guitar and drums. I live in Pflugerville, where I have my studio. We are two teachers, and we offer classes in our studio, on line lessons, and in home instruction as well. We plan our lessons, based on the student’s likes and goals, but we also include the concepts, skills, knowledge and strategies that will empower them to be better musicians. We also provide our students with plenty of opportunities to perform in recitals and festivals. Our ultimate goal is to help our students enjoy music, and share it with others.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach students to read music, but also give them ear training, so they can play by ear as well. I tailor the program for each and every individual, based on what their goals are. I provide plenty of opportunities for performance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm certified by the state of Texas as a music teacher K-9. Being the son of a musician, I started music classes by age 4. I studied piano, guitar, saxophone and drums. I've performed since age 12, on events as varied as recitals, concerts, night clubs, church weddings, as an accompanist to opera singers and UIL high school choirs and instrumental soloists and ensembles. Since 2016 I've been playing guitar and keys with SA Ligths, a Journey and Classical Rock band. For many years, I ran the most successful music studio in Eagle Pass, along with my wife teaching piano, and my younger daughter instructing violin students ( Fraga's Music and Stringed Together on Facebook. I taught elementary school, on very diverse areas, such as music, regular classroom, GT, and Life Skills.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds. My training as a Life Skills teacher, gave me the tools to teach students with special abilities, in my music studio.
