Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Evaluating each players ability is the first step in the process, understanding their strengths and weaknesses. The second step is to find out the players overall goals. From there, each session is personalized based on each players needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Coach Ayrealle Beavers Blair started Skool U! Skills and Development in 2018. She began coaching basketball in 2010 at local school and elite recruiting camps. In her high school, she was nationally ranked as a Top 100 recruit which lead to her college career at Loyola University Chicago. She is committed to the development of all players that love the game.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing does vary depending on the location, service being provided, and the age group of the athlete. Please reach out with the details of you players needs for pricing.
How did you get started teaching?
I have played basketball my entire life. I have won State Championships, been recognized nationally, and received a Division I Women's Basketball opportunity. In high school, I quickly learned that my purpose was to coach/train, using my gifts to give back to the community. My passion is shown throughout every session with all of my athletes.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with boys and girls, K-12 including collegiate athletes. The experience I have has equipped me to work with all age groups as long as they enjoy the game!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I recommend that any player interested in training with me truly evaluate what their goals are so that we can get on one accord during our first session. Being on the same page helps set the tone for future player development sessions.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1. Why do you want to improve you skills?
2. What are your strengths?
3. What are your weaknesses?
4. If you want to play at the collegiate level, are you willing to be pushed to your limits? (Optional)
