I love sharing my knowledge and experience with eager students. It is very satisfying to customize an approach to solve a students problem areas and to share in the musical growth of my students.

I have 40 years of teaching experience, ranging from individual to classroom instruction, and including many genres of music. Lessons vary depending on the students level and needs; ranging from total instruction to coaching those with a problem areas.

I have education from Berklee College of Music, the College of St Rose , and a life time of private study and dedication .

I have performance experience in a number of genres , from orchestra to solo, and some studio experience. I currently have employment at 2 corporate lesson schools with openings in Garland and Allen Texas, and I do Zoom lessons as my own studio, with the goal of operating from my own space at some point.

Chuck is awesome, definitely the coolest old teacher Ive ever had! He’s such a great player and it’s crazy how much he knows. He’s really funny too . I love my lessons and would recommend him to anyone. I thought I was learning things on You Tube- then I went to Mr Adams - what a difference!

He was so knowledgeable, patient and could help me with anything I had trouble with. I got a scholarship to Eastman School and Chuck helped me review and prepare for that. He’s a guitar player but they wanted to know who got me SO far on the bass. Made my collegiate bass/music career awesome and so much easier.

Chuck is extremely knowledgeable and seems to be quite a wealth of knowledge when it comes to many different genres of music. He finds ways to creatively teach music theory and makes his teaching accessible to students of all ages. He is extremely friendly and very communicable. Frequently asked questions

Advanced learning starts with a working knowledge of the basics. Many students come to me because they are stuck and frustrated. I find out what they know and DONT know; then I fill in the gaps and show the connections. From there we move forward. For a student new to the instrument, I give them exercises that develop their playing technique, their musical knowledge, their rythm, their ear , and relate these components to a genre of their choice to make it practical , and fun .

I work at the current local market price for master instructor 

I have worked with so many students over the years, that there are no more surprises! I have worked with students that were so brilliant and driven it felt like I was driving a runaway train! I have also worked with students with physical and learning difficulties. Sharing in their sense of accomplishment has been my greatest personal joy in teaching.
