About
I have 10 years experience in teaching painting and drawing at university and college level. I have taught beginners and advanced students my passion and love for art education, and my experience in the classroom have prepared me to be an effective teacher.
My teaching philosophy focuses on laying a strong foundation with technique and growing from that foundation towards theory and concept. I equip my students with strong technical skills that emphasize art elements, art composition, color theory, and a variety of mediums techniques. My goal is to provide students with enough skills to begin making art that deserves critical discussion.
Art and teaching are my passion.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My teaching style focuses on laying a strong foundation with technique and growing from that foundation towards theory and concept. I equip my students with strong technical skills that emphasize art elements, art composition, color theory, and a variety of mediums techniques. My goal at the beginning stage is to provide students with enough skills to begin making art that deserves critical discussion. Building on this strong skillset, I then advance students towards veriety of art movements and styles, and critical thinking. Each of these elements is critical in allowing students to master a sense of concept and the ability to critic others and their own work.
