My photography stands out because of the abstract genere that I have discovered. To me Photography is like life as our body grows our needs for fullfilment grows. I have been a photographer longer than I care to admit. I became interested in photography at an early age, my first camera was an Ansco 120 film. My documetry was when my parents took me on a vacation Trip to Disneyland, California the year it opened. From there I moved trough various styles, portraits, weddings, sports, I provided photography for a friend that wrote several photography books. I have had formal photography education, beginning in the dark room with both black and white film and medium and large format cameras. I retired from the professional part of photography and entered the artistic realm. I am a member of the the local art association and in doing so I have entered my work in local, and national shows. Mostly showing abstract work. I do not use Photoshop in my work. I use only the program that is on my Imac. I have been accepted to many shows which I have received awards.

My teaching style is geared to the students needs. I Talk about the basic concepts of photography which includes the importance of understanding exposure, composition, subject matter. I will offer critiques of the students work, i will offer the student an opportuniy to critique some of my images and challenge them to make my images better.

My enjoyment comes from sharing my passion and love for photography with others particularly seeing the sense of pride my students have after they see the images that they have created.
