MP3 Basketball Academy

About

With six years of international professional basketball experience and over a decade of mentoring and training athletes, I specialize in developing players from youth to the professional level. My philosophy is built on the belief that basketball IQ and fundamentals form the foundation of every player’s success. Each athlete is unique, so I design individualized training programs that account for personality, body type, skill level, and athleticism. My passion extends beyond the court — I’m driven to help every athlete grow not only as a player, but also as a person.

    Frequently asked questions

Sessions are usually 1 hr long for 6th-12th graders. 45 mins for 3rd-5th grade. We start off with questions of what the clients wants to accomplish short term and long term. I explain the type of work it will require to get to that destination and we work. We start off with form shooting, dribble pull-ups, basic basketball handling drills. I then check their balance and footwork with a balance board and speed ladder. We then determine what position will play for their school or organization, I put together a package that concentrates on fundamentals and IQ. We work on these things using heavy balls, cones, bags, dribbling goggles ect. Afterwards we sit and talk for 5mins or so and discuss the plan moving forward.

Traveled the world playing pro basketball. Has spent the last 9 years coaching and training many youth and a few professional athletes all over the globe. Started the “MP3 Basketball Skills Academy”, a training program used to share my knowledge of the game of basketball to help players improve their skills.

I train and work with kids and adults of ALL skill sets. Changing lives on and off the floor, one dribble at a time.

I've worked with students ranging from 6 years old to professional aged adults over the past years.

I recently attended a few high school and college graduations of some of the current and former students.

Make sure that you're searching for someone who can help instill confidence and broaden your basketball IQ along with building your skill set.

What part of my game do I want to improve (shooting, ball-handling, defense, conditioning, basketball IQ) Is this short-term (for an upcoming game/tryout) or long-term (overall development)? What exactly do I need from my coach/trainer (more reps, specific drills, feedback during scrimmages, conditioning plan)? Am I open to honest, constructive feedback?
