Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For the initial certification (for new students), I spend about 3-4 hours. After introduction, we watch the videos after which a test is taken to assess your understanding (and not to worry, the test is pretty simple and I always go over it with my students to address any misunderstanding).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Universus healthcare services provides CPR certification at the comfort of your home. Our pricing is $80/person. There will be an additional fee if we have to come farther than our regular distance
It is part of the requirement that a student purchase the CPR provider manual before the class. You can purchase the manual (either e-copy or soft copy) at shopcpr.heart.org. If you have purchased it in the past, that is totally fine, I would just need to see it.
Payment:
A 50% deposit would be made prior to the scheduled class date and the balance would be completed after the class. When you agree for us to be your instructor, we will send you an invoice using your provided email address
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made 48 hours or more in advance of the training date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made 24 hours in advance will incur a 50% fee. Same day cancellations will incur a 100% fee. Send refund request, including name, email address, date of training and copy of your receipt to [email protected]
P.S: I'm only available on Saturdays and Sundays.
How did you get started teaching?
For the past 11years, being in the medical field as a healthcare provider has made me understand and appreciate the importance of CPR. So I decided to help out and spread this knowledge to both health care professionals and lay individuals. This interest pushed me into going to a training center to get my certification as a certified CPR trainer.
What types of students have you worked with?
