Ron Parks Photography
About
I have been a profesional photographer for over 25 years in the Greater Austin and Georgetown area. I am primarily a wedding photographer, but I am also experienced in family, event, and corporate photography. I am well versed in the technical aspects of photography, as well as the intricate mechanisms of modern-day cameras. I try to make lessons alot of fun and hands-on, as well as explaining and teaching the process of doing a photoshoot, wedding, or event. We can have the lessons in the studio or downstairs at the coffee shop below the photography studio.
I greatly enjoy the people I get to meet on a daily basis, the relationships formed, and the trust people show in me when they hire me to photograph some of the most important days of their lives. I also enjoy the sheer act of creating when I am doing photography :)

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would say that not nearly enough of you who SAY you want a photography lesson, end up actually going through with it. I'm sorry to say ...not only is that a waste of everybody's time, it is totally YOUR LOSS. If you signed up, that means you want a photo lesson, so GO THROUGH WITH IT. you'll be happy you did. It's only an hour, it's only $30. It might be the only lesson you ever need. don't worry about what you DO or DON"T KNOW. It'll be alright :)
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First and I mean FIRST, check the professional who is giving the lesson, check their website, Facebook. IG, etc..
Do you want a boring teacher, or just whoever to teach you, or would you rather have someone AWESOME ?!!
I think you get it. Also, don't be afraid to actually use the telephone like a normal person. You'd be amazed at how inspired and excited you could be by simply making one little 5 minute phone call !!! 512-476-8957
