Stokes Grammar And Writing

After six years of teaching high school English in the public schools, I am looking to shift my focus and utilize my degree in a new way. I graduated magna cum laude from Southwestern University, with a Bachelor’s degree in English in 2009. During my time at Southwestern, I worked as a writing consultant in the University Writing Center, proofreading students’ papers and giving suggestions for revision.

Through my studies and career I have honed my communication skills (both oral and written). After graduation, I moved to San Antonio, where I worked for the top two districts in the city, NorthEast ISD and Northside ISD. Five years later, I have returned to the Austin area. Last year I worked in Round Rock ISD.

I’m motivated, I learn easily, and I’m passionate about what I do. I love reading and writing, and subjects like travel, photography, fashion, dogs, and more.
