About
I teach the fundamentals of a Classical music education and at the same time cater to the student's interest, whether it be Pop, Jazz, Hip Hop or anything in between. My passion is to engage my students, foster a love for music within them, and help them on their journey of discovering their self through music.
I love to see my students grow into their particular interests and strengths. The process of teaching them how to solve musical problems and express themselves in the music that they play fulfilling.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to assess where the student is in their musical development, find out what their goals are, and then cater my teaching to their particular situation.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a master of music in Piano Performance. There I studied with Dr. Robert Ward, whose expertise is in Viennese Classical music and who studied in Vienna. I have worked for various teaching studios including Silver River Music Academy, Allemande Music Academy, Poprock Music Academy and Opus Music School, and I have also taught university level group piano classes at Calstate University Los Angeles.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My price is $60/hr
How did you get started teaching?
I got my start when an old teacher of mine, Adam Bendorf, reffered students to me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and all musical styles
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A student looking to find a good piano teacher should make sure that the teacher understands proper technique and the process of interpreting music, and that he/she can communicate this and meet the student where he/she is at. The teacher should also have knowledge of the style that the student is interested in. Some teachers may just not be a good fit for some students, so personal choice also plays a big role.
