Q & A

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

First we want our students to not feel any undo pressure. We make our classes intense yet enjoyable.  We make sure that each student is comfortable with all the steps and we encourage questions.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I taught this course in the military where I served as a medic.  Visions have been in business teaching CPR and related courses since 2006.  We have on staff several retired paramedics and a retired surgeon.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Our pricing varies due to the many types of CPR courses that we teach.  However, our website (http://www.visions-cpr.com) list all of our prices for all of our classes.

How did you get started teaching?

I started when I was in the military. I was asked by another medic if I would help him with a class and as they say 'the rest is history.'  I have been teaching every since.  I

What types of students have you worked with?

I have worked with students from ages 7 years and up. I have worked with professionals, ie, doctors, administrators, school principals, NASA engineers to the mom who is having her first child and just want to be prepared.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

I taught a group of high school students who were all studying pre-med.  That was very rewarding to see so many of  young people who are destined for greatness. Not because of their choice of a medical profession but because they are preparing themselves for their future at a young age.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

You must love people.  You must have a WHY and it has to be what will make you do what you do regardless of pay.  You have to be knowledgeable and up-to-date on all of the latest changes.  You must be a great communicator and be able to access your audience immediately. You have to be able to turn all negative feedback into positive feedback just by your enthusiasm for what you are teaching.
