S&P Tutoring
About
I chose to tutor in order to create higher-level mathematical reasoning. I have worked, for going on 4 years, in a research lab at the University of Houston. This gives me a unique perspective on developing math skills.
I enjoy mentoring and teaching. It takes a lot more creativity to explain a concept in a simple, clear, and understandable way than simply using big words. This motivates me greatly.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Gauge literacy with the subject. Fill in deficiencies. Provide a more creative and intuitive way of seeing the subject.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am currently at the University of Houston pursuing a degree in physics and math. I also have an office on the campus where students frequently come to gain a deeper understanding of Math, Chemistry, and Physics. Answering their questions in a clear manner is what I enjoy doing.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system. However, my goal is not to earn money from this. I am pursuing tutoring in order to help students.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always taught informally.
What types of students have you worked with?
Students in STEM
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoyed a beautiful morning with a cup of coffee and a book on Quantum optics.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a tutor that bests suits your future goals and that can help you reach them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should ask questions based off of instinct. A student's gut question is usually a good one. Do not let your mind tell you otherwise. There are never any "Dumb" questions.
