I was a 5-sport athlete in my youth, playing baseball, golf, tennis at a comptitive level and winning. My golf handicap is approximately 8-12, which means I shoot near 80 for 18 holes on most courses. My 35+ years of links experience has taken me to Pebble Beach, Cog Hll and several TPC courses. As a coach, I focus on the physical and mental strengths needed to play well in any sport.
As a life coach and business consultant, you will find that my lessons are real-world based and not one person’s mantra or just words. While I have learned from other masters, my teachings are my own and work for everyone who is willing to to give 100 percent for 100 days. I own several businesses and have started or co-founded five others.
In 20+ years of owning a local photography company, I have learned many specialties. Among them are artistic portraits, headshots, theater/music/athletics, weddings, travel photography, live/corporate events and documentary photography. Photography is an art, and smartphones cannot do justice to the beauty and majesty we see at our local parks, in our families and at our local athletic events. I have won awards for sports photography, portraits and feature work since 1987.
Photography is a joy in my life, and it always has freed me to engage my creative skills. The digital cameras today can simplify the system, but a creative eye can be learned to make each image better.
I engage students in a hand-on approach, asking you to learn as you take pictures. Understanding your current habits and knowing if they help or hurt your images is where I can assist you in improving your photos at home or in the professional realm.

I like to speak to students and ask them about their wants, desires from our lessons.
I share personal stories and build a friendship. For me, honesty is the best policy. So I am completely open about my skillset, background and history. Students can learn any skill in my field of expertise. Students are also encouraged to ask all relevant questions so they can improve after our final lesson.
I have a BA degreee in journalism/psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. That is where I learned photography and fell in love with the field.
I have worked as a trainer in several capacities. My training methods are positive, interactive and fun to encourage students to practice their skills as time allows.
With more than 30 years of photographic experience, I am happy to recommend cameras, lenses, flashes, studio equipment, video equipment, computers and the professional photography side of budgets, marketing/advertising and more.
I learned to shoot black/white images, develop Tri-X film and print as Ansel Adams did. Fortunately I have also been shooting digitally for 16 years and love what digital cameras and software can do to get the final product to an impressive state.
My standard rate is stated, but it can be negotiated for two reasons: 1-If you are willing to learn and have a creative eye; 2-You are learning advanced material and wish to take over the photographic world.
If you have a desire, ask me about it.
Friends and students have asked me for lessons as a friend, and I’ve always done my best to mentor others. I lead by example, so my actions and words of instruction will match.
Find someone who is interested in helping you first. True men tors are fine with continuing lessons and sharing efforts, successes.
