Mary has a wonderful class where kids are able to use their imagination and creativity to systematically develop and improve their art skills. Art is used in many facets of life and any improvement in this skill set goes a long way in life and my daughter does not want to miss even one class so I know she enjoys every moment of it and that matters.

My 9yo daughter really enjoys the painting classes with Mary. She has had the opportunity to work in water colours and acrylics. The classes are small and I think Mary is a good teacher. She is patient with her students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start a class with a simple landscape, giving the fundamentals of color and perspective in Acrylics that is a friendly media. Also a teach techniques and how to use different brushes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a teacher for 25 years and I have a certification in Bilingual Education, Spanish, and Art all levels. I teach in Spanish and English.
