About

Hello potential student, you are in the right place if you desire to become a more proficient Painter. Space does not permit me to write down all my credentials, but a quick Google search of my name should more than prove that I should be your next teacher. I look forward to giving you my best. Be blessed,

- Christopher Thomas

I am a national known Christian Painter/Illustrator who loves the Bible, Art history, Painting and helping others reach their creative goals. I most enjoy seeing a finished painting come to life, and seeing the look on my students faces, as they create things that they thought they could not. What a blessing, to know that you can do it. I look forward to giving you my best.

Frequently asked questions

I look at each student holistically, and individually, meaning I will assess your individual skill level while keeping your personal goals in mind at the same time. My program is comprehensive and builds upon each weeks lesson. If you pay close attention, you should leave my class feeling like a pro.

I was a very successful God given painter for more than 20 years having done national advertising campaigns for Sears, McDonald's, The United States Postal Service and others. After teaching on the college level I was inspired by my Pastor, family and students to pursue a formal education in Art. I earned my BFA in Painting / Illustration from Art Center College of Design and went on to start my MFA at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

I have a comprehensive program that I teach with a standard pricing structure. Each class is $75.00 for an hour of quality instruction.

I as asked to do a professional presentation of my work at an Art College in California, the students were so inspired afterwards that they asked their administration and Chair of the department to hire me. The next Semester I was hired and teaching. The rest is as they say history.

From children of about 6th grade to College level and Adults. I prefer College level and Adults exclusively now.

I am most inspired now by seeing my children do well in life, and making good, Godly decisions. This is very fulfilling at this phase of my life, and brings me great joy.

To choose a teacher who is not only expertly knowledgeable of their craft, but is caring, patient, and serious about their student's success. Find a teacher that you feel in your heart, really wants you to succeed. If you do not emotionally connect with the teacher, keep it moving. Learning is serious business, and life is to short to waste time.

1. What does the student want, and what is the student's expectations?

2. Is the student serious about learning, or do they just want to "play" or "escape" for a few hours. There are different teachers for that.

3. Can the student grow with this teacher? Is the teacher's class comprehensive?

These are good questions to start with.
