As a Health coach, I am passionate about teaching and helping people reach their goals!
I am Dance Professor, Pilates instructor, ex-professional dancer, and lover of everything related to movement.
I am highly qualified and certified to teach Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Theater Jazz, Musical Theater Dance, Latin Dance Styles, Flamenco, and also Body Conditioning classes, Stretching/Yoga/Pilates Mat and Fitball.
I am bilingual English-Spanish and teach in both languages.
My goal is to help students achieve their own goals, by working on a personalized program that fits their needs and interests. I enjoy guiding them in the learning process; whether they are learning how to dance, dancing for fun, or taking fitness classes. My work is based on teaching the proper movement technique, plus functionality of muscles and joints to prevents injuries.
I have been teaching Dance and Conditioning classes for thirty years in private, public schools and diverse organizations in the USA and abroad, including private and group Online classes, working with students of all ages, from preschool to senior citizens.
I hold the Texas Educator Certification. I graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a BFA in Dance Performance, and I hold a Professor degree from The National School of Dance in Argentina.
I am continuously training my body, and I am always looking forward to helping my students in their journey towards health and movement.
I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I love the most, teaching and helping people feel better.
With my unique approach, I enjoy seeing happy learners develop confidence while working on achieving their goals.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Getting to know the student, listening to their interests and needs in order to build a relationship, and develop a working plan based on their goals.
Dance classes for children are dynamic and fun. I usually work with music they like to keep them engaged in the learning process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was a professional dancer with an international career.
I graduated with honors from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance Performance. I also hold a Dance Education degree, from the National School of Dance in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I am Texas Certified. As part of my professional development, I participated in several conventions in New York, Houston, and Argentina.
I also have a Certificate in Brain Dance: a literacy program that incorporates languages and movement from Houston Ballet.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was a student. I always loved teaching; it’s very rewarding to be able to help students and see them grow!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from three years of age to senior adults. Beginners, advanced, non-dancers, professional dancers, etc.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Seeing my adult students who are learning Spanish as Foreign Language, flourish in Flamenco Class taught in Spanish!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I would advise you to ask questions and be willing to talk to the teacher about what you would like to accomplish.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It would be important for students to know what they would like to work on and the available time they have for classes.
Like anything else, reaching your goal takes time and patience, but with practice and consistency, anything is possible! I am here happy to help YOU the best I can.
