What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Professional player with 12 years of AAU coaching and training. USA basketball gold affiliate. Post and wing in HS. Point guard and small forward in college. Shooting guard as a pro. McDonalds all American nominee, # 6 ranked player in the state of Texas, #1 team in the state and top 10 team in the country. That's what you get when I'm coaching.

How did you get started teaching?

I got started in 2012 when I lost my corporate job. A friend of mine had football teams and he wanted to have them play basketball during the offseason. Knowing me and my background he calls me to help out as an assistant. From then on I just reverted back to all the training and skills that I had gone through myself and started developing those players which most went on to go to college play basketball on scholarship. The rest is history

What types of students have you worked with?

I work with Boys and girls at all levels. All ages starting from age three all the way up to 20s. From A B and C players to elite players and even professionals. Beginners to intermediate to advance.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

From a parent July 2023. "Truth be told, she came because of you. She said I don't want to go to this game. I am scared, and I don't want to go. But, if I don't, I feel like I will let Coach Marcus down. And, when she got in the game, and he did start her, she just went for it! I really can't thank you enough!!! It's just really nice to see her happy while she's playing!!! For me, that's really all that matters! And, she gained mad respect from the girls who didn't give her the time of day before."
