About
My love to share knowledge and helping students understand music concepts and techniques in new, fun and exciting ways. To be friendly, approachable and make students feel relaxed and inspired. Building confidence, enjoyment and accomplishment of playing their favorite song on an instrument they love!!
I have over 30 years teaching experience from beginners,
college students and adults.
Over the 45 years of my professional music career as a upright bassist, I've been fortunate to make music on my bass with other professional musician and experience wonderful and exciting experiences.
I enjoy sharing this knowkedge and experience I've gained and learned to each of my students.and watch their confidence grow as their ability increases and they are able to play along with their favorite song, or with other musicians, which is in my opinion, the best part!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin by welcoming them and getting to relax, ask questions and have fun. Then cover the parts of the instrument they want to study, explain what we'll be covering and discovering in the course of our lessons. Letting them know that with some consistent practice, effort they too can make music with their instrument. Mainly to put them at ease, have fun and some laughs and make music together!!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied music theory, music composition at The Community College of Rhode Island, String Class at Rhode Island College. 6 years private study on Upright Bass and Bass Guitar. Over 45 years of professional performance with several regional orchestras, big bands, jazz bands and wedding bands. Also performed with stars Ray Charles, Andrea Bocelli, Jimmy Heath, Michael Feinstein and Byron Stripling.
