About
Book me, artist Elaine W Duree to host a watercolor art night in your home with your friends and family! I teach collaborative themed pencil sketch/ink and watercolor painting. I teach individual groups and in themed settings such as Retreats and pieces of training. I offer classes to artists of all skill levels and specific groups as couples, mother/daughter, families, and more. I teach group classes and specialty project classes in Watercolor Family Portrait paintings.
I have my own brand of art tools and am a professional artist, I share four art mediums and also teach art healing.
My aim is to support artists of all levels stretch their skill and to Color the World, bright and beautiful.
I taught online when I lived in Hawaii and now that I live on the mainland I teach groups, in group classes with friends. Since leaving Hawaii I seek to see all the pretty colors of the people I get to spend time with.
Being an artist and showing people the healing aspects of drawing and painting are a joy to me, each opportunity I get to share my skills and art tools.
It is my goals to stretch and grow my own artistic talents and show people they too have art talents within. There is joy and healing of the heart mind and body when we draw and paint. I love the opportunities to observe people who thought they had none, find out they do have talent and enjoy the art of co-creating works of art together. I love the conversations that emerge as people mix watercolors and discover how fun and easy and enjoying painting with watercolors is. My Family Watercolor Portrait class is a joy, the family creations that emerge are stunning and I love getting photos from the artist of the paintings framed and hanging in the home, delighting all who see them.
I love being an artist and hosting art classes, it is a dream come true!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My student is typically a lady friend who wants to book a paint night party at their home. They invite ten or more friends, I come and bring all the supplies needed, and share how it works, everyone has a lot of fun, gets to laugh and relax into creating.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to school for Art, I had college classes in drawing and have been painting and drawing more now that my youngest child is five and has started school. I have taught and created healing heart art classes online for a few years and also have a certificate through Grumbacher art tools company to teach in the Micheals Stores.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
To host a class it is free, each friend who comes, the price is $37.50 that pays for my time and all the supplies needed. A class is three hours in length and we cover three mediums, pencil, ink, watercolor pan set, and watercolor pencils. This is a collaborative themed works class.
I also teach a Watercolor Family Portrait Class, the price is $90 per friend, hosts are free. This is a specialty class, we create finished pieces to frame, the class is amazing, the works that are created are an heirloom, I love offering this class.
