What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start out with art techniques and/or elements of art implemented into exercises. I expanded into famous artist, art history, crafts and fun activities to understand concepts being taught. I then have a half hour for my students to work on final projects for the art show.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had many years of education starting at Wasatch Junior High, the on to Peterson Art Center and teaching and training the disabled art lessons for the Utah Food bank. I have enter many art shows and perform lessons, paint groups for all age groups.

Standard price: $48 an hour per session
First Lesson: FREE
Upfront monthly discount: $10 off the month
Price will vary for private and traveling to students location
Referral discounts: One time $20 off regular price.
Family discounts: $10 discounts per student up to 3 student.
Hosting discounts and scholarships: Ask me for more information regarding hosting and scholarships.
How did you get started teaching?
I was asked by many family and local neighbors to teach their children. The clientele grew dramatically. I became a full time job for me and I have enjoyed it ever since.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages from 5 yrs old all the way to 78 years old. From students that love animate, cartoon to realistic. Students from all different types of interest and skills for different mediums.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I have taught 465 children from Kindergarten to 6th grade. I loved all the different age groups, their unique skills and ability. Most importantly, I really loved my students and getting to know them personally.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Research all your options, but find one that you enjoy working that lifts you up. A teacher that makes you feel comfortable, knows your true ability and passion. A teacher that makes you feel like the most amazing artist. Someone that you know can help you excel and is the right fit for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The prices, time teacher spends to help strengthen your skills and brings knowledge to the bases of art. Someone that helps with your struggles, but can show you how to create art. A teacher may be an amazing artist, but if they can't deliver teaching you the base, depth, knowledge, technique and understand of art, they may not be the best option.
