About
Hello! My teaching focuses on the student's goals for their music and their reasons for learning. I believe it's important to learn note reading, playing by ear, music theory, ear training, and music history all together.
I studied violin with teachers for over 10 years, received my BA from Florida Gulf Coast University in Piano Performance on Full Scholarship, and was the Florida Gulf Coast University Symphony’s First Violinist Concertmaster for three years. I have performed in symphonies in the United States and Italy, including The Grand Junction Symphony, Mesa State Orchestra, Wasatch Concert Orchestra, Interfaith Choir and Orchestra, Santa Fe Philharmonic, Urbino Italy Student Orchestra as Concertmaster, and the Florida Gulf Coast University Symphony as Concertmaster.
In my studio lessons are $100 a month for weekly half-hour lessons, $150 a month for weekly 45 minute lessons, and $200 a month for weekly 60 minute lessons. I am located on the east side of Layton, Utah. I have taught violin lessons for 10 years to children and adults, and love passing on what I've learned to my students! It brings me so much pleasure seeing their excitement as my students learn the joy music brings to their lives.
