We love what we do! It's a passion to learn and to teach others what we have learned.
It's always the best feeling when we can share our knowledge/training and see so many people gain the confidence they are looking for around firearms. Education is key and that's what we do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lessons are $75 per hour. Range fee included in that price.
Group classes start at $50 for a 3 hour course. Range fee included in that price.
How did you get started teaching?
From the beginning, our love for firearms grew and we taught as we were taught. We were both members of A Girl and A Gun and were asked to become Facilitators of the Salt Lake Chapter. From there, dozens of people asked us weekly if we would teach them on an individual basis. We established At The Ready (ATR) and from there, our classes grew as we saw a demand or received requests.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have taught people who have never touched a firearm in their life, to seasoned firearms owners. 5 years old and up. We like to take students where they want to go in their firearms training, so it's a very individual choice.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Proper instruction is very important in the firearms world. Safety, efficiency, proper form, etc. So many people get frustrated with not getting any better, or more comfortable. We provide many tools for your toolbox and can help you decide what works best for you.
