About

Teaching voice has been one of my ultimate pleasures. Singing is so vulnerable and courages. I have seen incredible growth, healing, and dreams accomplished in my time coaching. I give my stundents the knowledge necessary to pursue singing in any capacity they desire, from choir and karaoke, to belting out solos on large stages. I teach and demonstrate in all vocal genres and ranges. I build my teaching upon evidence based techniques (Vocal Anatomy and Physics) and tailor my teaching to the individual.

I have been teaching professionally for 8 years. I have performed in many groups over the years including BYU Vocal Point, a 9 man a cappella group. I also performed in two cover bands, performing for high-end weddings and corporate events across the US.

I studied Commercial Music at BYU

There must be something wrong with this part of the review process because I try to give five stars, but for some reason it only shows four.
Logan is a consummate professional, and he is an amazing teacher. There are people who really know how to do something, but it’s hard for them to teach it, whereas Logan is an amazing musician, and he is great at distilling the important parts of music and singing.
I feel so happy I found him. What are my favorite quotes is “stay true to your purpose and the universe will conspire to give you what you need,“ I have been wanting to learn how to sing for a long time, and despite being persuaded not to, we’re not always supported my friends and family, I did it anyway, and the universe responded by giving me Logan.
Anyone wanting to learn music or singing, or both, Logan is unequalled and second to none, choose him with confidence, you will be happier for it.

Logan bent over backwards to help my daughter have success. He taught her all the techniques and skills of pop singing he has learned over his experience in the music field. He also was able to prepare her for a professional recording which he spent hours on making her sound her optimal best. It really boost her confidence to know she could sing so well. He was very positive and understanding of her insecurities yet challenged her to push through them. Logan is a very talented musician not only vocally but also technologically. He has great professional recording skills and experience as well which help magnify his students talents beyond their vocal training. He was always so positive and wonderful to work with

My daughter has been taking voice lessons from Logan for roughly two years. Her confidence and abilities have consistently improved. Logan knows how to challenge and stretch while building confidence and talent. Logan knows from experience and talent. His talents aren’t limited. Our family loves Logan. He’s a delight to work with.

Logan is amazing at giving feedback in a way that is kind and that will help you progress. He is also great at allowing and perfecting style choices. Not only is he a great teacher, but he is also very talented himself.

It is a very friendly environment I never once felt judged for my capabilities or anything and I think that is very important in order for you to have success and progress. On top of that I have been able to really improve from where I started! I have gone from thinking ok I’m alright to being confident that I’m good at singing!

Logan is an awesome teacher and works hard to help you sound good. I have progressed more with him than with the 2 other teachers that I have tried. He is great at explaining hard vocal techniques and helps coach you to learn them.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to make lessons an individual experience, so I first ask questions to understand my students interests, desires, and goals. The first lesson will go longer than the half hour time slot, but I won't charge for the additional time. I want to make sure we get off to a great start. For voice Lessons I will begin teaching the anatomy and physics of singing. We will take a look at what vocal folds look like and how they function. From there we choose music and begin taking strides forward!

I studied Commercial Music at BYU. I have formally studied classical voice for 4 years and contemporary voice (which includes:musical theater, jazz, pop, rock, etc.) for 6 years. I have studied and have years of experience in music theory and music production. I received my minor in family life which included courses in human development, adolescent development, and child development. I have also worked for Remix Vocal Academy (a summer youth camp) for 4 years.

I charge for 30 to 60 minute lessons.

Payments are accepted via Venmo, Cash, or Check.

Specifics of pricing vary by time and by individual or group lessons. Those details are outlined in my lesson policies, which are sent out before we begin lessons.

I began teaching when I was traveling with one of my performing groups 4 years ago. I had a group of youth ask me if I taught voice and at the time I was not. We exchanged contact info and began lessons. From there I have developed my curriculum and business. I continue to study and stay up to date with the latest discoveries and techniques of singing.

I have worked with students ranging from 5 to 66 years old. I have students that meet with me in my studio, but about half of my students of from other states such as Washington, Illinois, and Utah. We do our lessons by video chat, including Zoom, FaceTime, Facebook Messenger, Skype, and Google Hangouts. I have taught students that are strictly one genre such as classical, musical theater, and Jazz. I have also taught students that wanted a broad knowledge of all of the styles. I have some students that focus more on song writing, performance, or stylization.
For music production I have helped students set up their own home studio and taught them the skills needed to make a great product. I have a few students that strictly take lessons for music production.

I recently had a student prepare and record a song with me for a non profit organization. She sang "Rescue" by Lauren Daigle. The song was for the organization called "The Underground Railroad" and it was to raise awareness around sex trafficking.
We spent over a month preparing vocally, adding style and emotion, and then recording to make a track that left us feeling very touched and accomplished.

The first thing I would look for is how you connect with your teacher. Are they the right fit?

I would then look at their knowledge.

For example: For voice teachers. Do they teach and understand the anatomy and physics of singing? Do they know standard definitions and techniques for functions of the voice? Terms may vary depending on the style.

What does music mean to me?

What do I want to achieve with music?
