What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Two ball dribbling drills shooting Variety of shots without coaching. See what can and can't be done. Speak about goals for the player(s).

Played a yr. in college / 3 yrs. playing high school
current coaching high school jv and varsity 2yrs
currently have own youth basketball program 3yrs
been coaching youth comp basketball over 10yrs.

How did you get started teaching?
When I was a freshman in high school I ran a neighborhood basketball camp. Day 1 I had only two people. They where my sisters.
the next day I had 4 people. The third day I have 15 people. I ended my camp with 25 kids. That's when I knew I wanted to coach.
What types of students have you worked with?
Youngest kids are 5yrs. To Seniors in high school.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
This season two of players got offered basketball scholarships.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Knowledge of the sport is big but it's deeper then that. It's about the coach and player having a connection deeper then the game. Like the coach being able to guide player without being present.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Just ask what is on your mind. Be open and honest.
