She listens and understands my cello goals. She’s very observant and tactfully corrects my bad habits. She’s talented, accomplished and a great teacher.

Its fun and she has several strategies to teach the same concept- if one teaching strategy doesnt work she has another method or idea so I actually get it.

    Frequently asked questions

Schedule a trial  "meet and greet" lesson and musical skills assessment. This gives me time to meet the student and  learn a little about learning style and personality, and decide want the best lesson option is for that student.

Bachelor of music in piano pedagogy from Utah State University.

Studied cello through college and currently I am principal cellist of the Utah Philharmonic Orchestra.

28 years of experience teaching beginners to piano performance majors in college.

Mother of 4 children and a home educator.

Children's church ministry teaching preschool- middle school classes.

Monthly tuition payments for elementary-- college age students. Details are on my website under studio policy.

Adult students purchase 4 lesson packages and use them in the time frame that works best for them.

Inspired by my piano and cello teachers growing up! Taught my first piano lesson at age 18 and knew it was what I wanted to do the rest of my life!

Age 5 - adult.  I teach very beginners to advanced  students. Some have gone on to get piano degrees and become teachers themselves. My students come in all types....quiet little girls to energetic teenage boys and everything in between!  Every student is unique and that is what I love about teaching!

Helping my student prepare for piano auditions at Utah State Universiry and Weber student who has been studying with me for 12 years! She also did a  Senior Recital  at Daynes Music that was amazing! I have been so honored and blessed to be part of her music journey this far!

Look for a teacher that is excited about teaching and is always learning herself. A teacher that is patient and understands that each student is unique. A teacher willing to consider a student's personal goals and individual strengths.

    What are your musical goals?

Are you committed to practicing and working hard?

Understand that learning piano or the cello is a skill that takes time. Be patient with yourself!
