About
I have 30 years experience as a teacher, performer and competitor, both bands and solo. Conveniently just 5 minutes off 95 at the springfield interchange. I turn my phone off on my days off from my regular job so if you get no reply, send another request. This page kills requests after 24 hours and prevents me replying so I may miss yours. I always reply. I missed 2 requests this week.
It gives me a great deal of joy and personal satisfaction to help other people achieve their desire to play.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I am responsive to the needs, pace and learning style most effective for each student. All students are different.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I normally charge by the month, scheduling regularly recurring weekly lessons. Though, I dont work by the hour so I adjust frequency as needs be.
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, all levels of interest.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Trust in the community. If you find a teach who is not with a band, has played in several bands but not anymore and is "on their own", there is a reason. Someone who is active and welcome in some capacity in the community is best.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What do they imagine doing with their bagpipe when they can play?
