Photo Lessons By Essdras
About
I am a two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer who was a full-time newspaper photographer for 20 years. I have over a quarter of a century of experience.
Throughout my career, I was required to become proficient in a myriad of photography genres. Starting with news, portraits, fashion, travel, food, product photography, and everything in between. And I was lucky enough to have received awards and accolades in all of these different genres.
I own a company called EMS Photo Adventures that specializes in creating custom-made photo programs/ workshops/ and speaking engagements for photographers.
However, for the past five years, I have mostly focused on teaching locally, nationally, and abroad. The last year virtually. This has allowed me to further sharping my teaching skills.
I love to spend time with like-minded individuals and I understand how as photographers and creative people, we are ruled by an overwhelming need to create and to find the aesthetic balance in our creations.
I consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to share my experience with others. Plus it's always interesting and humbling at times to see the world from someone else's perspective.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I'd ask to see a collection of photos to best ascertain their knowledge level. Then we'd have a conversation where we can figure out what are the needs, wants and goals of the student.
Based upon these two parameters, I custom design a program.
