With over 15 years of private teaching experience and 25 years of flute expertise, I am a classically trained flutist with a Bachelor of Music from James Madison University (2011 grad - Go Dukes!) I studied under Dr. Beth Cahill for four years as a member of the JMU flute studio. My teaching repertoire encompasses everything from Baroque, Classical, and Romantic time periods, Irish and Rock techniques, Modern compositions and more. My flute expertise was developed through numerous recitals, auditions, private lessons, ensemble performances, and master classes with various artists in residency including world-renowned author and acclaimed flutist Trevor Wye.

I love to show my students how they can practice more efficiently and have fun doing it! I consider myself a very detail-oriented yet supportive teacher who customizes every lesson based on each student's individual and unique needs. I strive to connect with my students on a level where we can go beyond just playing what's on the page and develop musicianship in addition to technical skills.
