Andrew'w Guitar And Tuba Studio
About
Everyone has music inside them! I've been teaching guitar and low brass since my senior year in High School back in 2008. During our first lesson, we'll discuss your goals as a musician and begin to form a gameplan. I'll teach you everything I know - each lesson is catered 100% towards helping you achieve your goals, whether that's simply personal fulfillment, jamming with friends, or making a living.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to get an idea of your experience (or lack thereof) and goals as a musician/guitarist so you can learn things that interest and motivate you
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Louisiana State University where I majored in music education, and later music performance. I have 10+ years of teaching experience
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is $40 per 45 minute lesson. Message me for custom rates and times (30 minute, 1 hour, etc.)
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching in high school after earning my first shred of credibility by making all-state as a tuba player. I didn't begin teaching guitar until after I graduated from LSU.
What types of students have you worked with?
I enjoy working with people of all ages and skill levels. I've taught absolute beginners, intermediate, and advanced players ranging from ages 5-75.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Any LSU Football, Baseball, or Basketball game.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Ask lots of questions! Your teacher should be someone who inspires and motivates you to get better.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is this teacher willing to accomodate my budget, travel, and scheduling needs? Do I have time to set aside most days to practice the things that we work on in lessons? If I don't have regular practice time, am I willing to accept that progress might be a bit slower than I had hoped?
