Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I begin with learning what each new student wants to gain from me as a teacher, what they hope to get better in & then find out where they are at as a learning artist! I then put a plan ( simple idea syllabus) into place of where they are where they want to go & how we are going to get there.. Then we lay out class times of what we will work on, weather it be fundamentals or jumping right in to watercolor, ink, colored pencil ect.. After finding where we are & where were going we have projects to complete using all things learned.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Commercial art Illustration Certificate, also a Associate's degree in Illustration, as well as 6 years of school in Art.
