About
I am Dr. K.C. James, a 30 yr. U.S. Navy veteran with 28 yrs of private studio teaching experience in orchestral strings (violin, viola, cello, double bass). I work with students of all ages, guiding each one to achieve their level of excellence in learning their chosen instrument. As a result, many of my students compete in school orchestra programs, All City, District, & Senior Regional competitions. Some of my students also participate in the Governor's School for the Arts, Bay Youth Orchestra, Salem Music Academy, & selection/preparation for college/conservatory auditions. I am an active event performer routinely booked through 'The Bash' & 22 yr member/violinist with 'Symphonicity': the symphony orchestra of Va Beach, Va.
