About
We believe in fostering a positive, growth-oriented environment for young athletes to strive for their personal best. As coaches, we work to build a personal connection with each player and gain rapport. While this is a simple step, it can be difficult and time-consuming. Often, coaches rush through this step, and failing to develop a relationship with players often leads to player disengagement and frustration for all. Too often we see a coach yell at his team, or worse, tell them that they are failing for not understanding the game. We believe this reaction shows that the coach has failed in both his instructional methods as well as lack of personal connection with the team. This is why we prioritize relationship-building prior to in-depth instruction. We do not yell, coerce, belittle, or criticize. Instead, we make lessons light-hearted and fun to build up young athletes to become better players, teammates, and people.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by taking the time to get to know them and helping them get comfortable. Then I ask them about their past experience (i.e. what they liked about the past season, how they felt, what they did well and what they want to get better at, etc.). Then I find something that is an “easy win” for them to build some confidence and momentum to carry into the development plan we create.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
OLE Assessment Certified, several coaching clinics, multiple online coaching courses, 3 years coaching and about 15 (baseball) years of playing experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$35 per hour lesson and seek to attend atleast one complimentary game to see the player in action.
How did you get started teaching?
I have 2 daughters that play softball and I worked with them on their fundamentals and skills. Then I started coaching their teams and naturally started with other kids seeking to improve.
What types of students have you worked with?
Kids ranging from beginner level to players with a few years of experience. Mostly ages 5-10 but I have also worked with/ coached up to 15 years old.
