About

I went to high school in northeast Ohio where I was the catcher for three draft picks during my tenure there at Walsh Jesuit High School. After that I accepted a Division 1 scholarship to Loyola Marymount University and played three seasons there from 2014-16. I was an All Conference selection in 2016 and was drafted in the MLB draft after my junior year in the 12th round to the Cincinnati Reds. I am now retired and reside in the Shenendoah Valley area. I played 6 seasons of professional baseball reaching triple A with two different organizations. I am eager to teach what I know and help create the best players possible. Please reach out for availability and pricing.

    Frequently asked questions

During a session with me I want to be ready to work. We won’t be overwhelming ourselves with more than one objective at a time. There is a time to be loose and joke around and then a time to make yourself better. Depending on the skill level and age there are different drills and opinions I will be able to share with the client. At a younger age, the body is still developing along with the brain on how to do simple tasks such as catch, throw, and hit the ball properly. As we grow our skill level improves and we are able to gather new ideas and information and put them to work in our own game. A healthy combination of conversation and drill work will be used in my lessons. Sometimes one a little more than the other but both will be used during the time. The athlete will be encouraged to give feedback and how he feels about certain ideas and drills that he is told about because I am not seeking for a lesson that has me telling the player to do certain drills with no conversation or brainstorming and then the player goes home with essentially just an exercise completed. I will have certain agendas set out and client wants to do multiple lessons we will setup a schedule that builds up to the players ultimate goal.

During the past 3 offseasons, I have worked at two academies such as All Star baseball and Diamond baseball with players of various ages. This past winter I worked individually with players at my alumni, Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles California. I enjoy working with all ages of athletes, but with one request that my clients have a goal and show up ready to get there. For the past four seasons I have played in professional baseball and I have been around the best baseball players in the world. To be able to understand and observe how each player works and sharpens their skills.

I am willing to do group work with up to four players at the same time

Baseball has been a passion of mine since I started playing at five years old. I have always been busy playing and never had time to professionally teach and work with players with the same goals as I had. These past four off seasons have given me time to be able to take my skills and share them with others who are trying to learn the game and the various skills within it. I enjoy working with players especially when they set goals and work hard to achieve them.

I work with all types of students. Whether you are just starting out with baseball and are interested in trying, you are training to play on your travel ball or high school team, you are working for a college scholarship, or an adult who still enjoys playing and wants to sharpen their skills. As long as the student is willing to work and get better I am happy to train them.
