About
At our music school, we believe that classical methods of teaching best lay a musical foundation for our students giving them a musicianship centered around classical pedagogy while exploring other genres like pop, rock, musical theatre and even Indian music. During this period of cultural diversity in our society, we also find ourselves to have the unique fortune of bringing excellency in training in the Western, Indian and diverse styles of music, thus training by ear and by notation, to our younger generations.
Students of our school actively perform on stages - big and small. Many of our students take and clear different levels of certification exams such as Royal Conservatory and many of them also win prizes and awards, both at the regional and national level, such as Hal Leonard competitions. Our students also perform for ticketed events at venues like the Hylton Performing Arts Center or Tally Ho in Leesburg and donate the proceeds towards a charitable organization, thus, learning the importance of making an impact to the community via their music.

As a teacher, I derive great satisfaction in seeing the students make progress during lessons, when they win in competitions, when they perform on stage and steal the hearts of the audience, when I hear the audience clap and cheer for them! I love to see that! That is what drives me day in and day out!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Everyone gets a chance to meet the teacher first - whether it is an online lesson or in-person lesson. The first class is free where the teacher can listen to the student and the student can ask questions about our curriculum, our philosophy, opportunites, etc. Only after both student and teacher believes that this would a right match, we proceed with lessons.
Once student is onboard, we have a very specific plan to teach and make consistent progress in lessons. A mixture of theory and practicals, classical and contemporary, in-class and outside class instruction/home projects, performances inside studio and outside - many methods and measures go a long way into enjoying and making progress in our students' musical journey.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a trained singer in Indian Classical Music. The school has many teachers who hold Bacherlor's and Master's and even Doctoral degress in Piano or Guitar or Drums or Voice!
Most of the teachers have at least 4-15 years of experience working with children and we find ourselves driven my a passion to teach.
