The Mboges Stepping Stone Football Academy

Hello everyone welcome to Mboge’s Academy.

The Mboge’s academy is a new establishment academy ,that is to create a positive and friendly environment for the young players growing up in to the Game.

The Mboge’s academy will always render their services and commitment toward helping players develop and to promote the game at all levels.

A history about me, Women's football in The Gambia has enjoyed a significant growth in recognition and popularity during my 8years tenure so far. From my background as the youngest player and team vice-captain at the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup to my current role, Sainey is credited with playing a major role in the development of women’s football in the country. As a gifted, left-footed winger who also scored at the World Cup, I have redirected my talent towards my role in administration and Also in coaching.

To my determined and resolute approach to developing the sport, I have been been able to count on relentless support from other like-minded officials, administrators and volunteers, all eager to sow the seeds of progress.

As a household name in women’s football, Sainey has blossomed in impressive style to become the inspiration and role model for girls and women in various domains, not only within women’s football. Alongside her office duties, her ambassadorial role has helped to promote and give visibility to women’s football, attracting more girls ,women and boys to become involved either as players, officials, referees, volunteers, supportive parents, football guardians or just as women’s football-loving fans.

My devotion and passion for seeing girls and women compete at the highest level has helped to open the door to elite international football, as The Gambia now regularly participates in international competitions including AWCON qualifiers, WAFU regional tournaments, junior FIFA World Cup qualifiers and FIFA international friendlies.

I am also FIFA safeguarding Guardian finishing my FIFA diploma in safeguarding.

With the Mboge’s Academy the future is promising and bright.
