About
Professional potter from Norfolk, Va. My body of work is primarily wheel thrown, but I also work in slip casting and hand building. I work only in stoneware, from functional to sculptural. My studio is a wreck, but it is complete and I love it! I have it all. Wheels (2), slab roller, extruder, molds, slip, kilns, glaze, clay, more glazes than I need and a ridiculous amount of tools.
I have been a potter for over 20 years. I will teach only 1 on 1, adults only. I will teach only those seriously interested in the craft. If you are afraid of mud or ruining your nails, this craft is not for you. You will get dirty, lol. If you expect instant perfection, this may not be the craft for you. It takes time, patience and some trial and error.
Projects (beginner) include basic forms, such as a complete set of mugs or bowls...just to get you familiar with pottery. More advanced projects can be tailored to meet your goals. All materials, clay & glazes, and firing of the projects included in the cost.
