About
Hello, I am the founder of Ocean 11 Youth and Adult Basketball Organization. In 2003 I started teaching coaching and mentoring the less fortunate youth from the neighborhood where I grew up (Ocean Hill Brownsville) in New York City. The kids were basically children that were high school drop outs the less fortunate and with no other outlets but to join gangs and become products of street violence. I know this same venue saved my life, it kept me out of trouble and made me the man that I am today. I taught basic basketball skills from dribbling, passing, shooting and being a team player. I took these kids from the local neighborhood to the tristate areas of the city. I started out with just seven boys now I have a well formed organization of kids, boys and girls abroad. I even coach and train adults. As I said earlier the kids were high school dropouts I was able to instill in them that if they wanted to continue their education they could. They did just that! All of them returned to school completed their high school curriculum and received diplomas. They all attended college played college basketball and received college degrees. Some even went on to play professional basketball. I am very proud of this endeavor it's a gift that God has given me. I am a member of USA Basketball a well known program of many NBA basketball players. I can teach on many levels. I just asked that the individual (s) do their part.... if I give you homework the next time we meet you should be able to show me that you actually completed the assignment. I am very passionate about basketball. I'm sure you'll get a great deal from my teachings and enjoy it as well. I am now the Assistant boy's and girl's middle/high school basketball coach at Grove Christian private school here in Richmond Va. Thank you
