Hoops Excellence
About
I have spent twenty, successful years coaching basketball at the collegiate (Division I) and varsity levels. I have coached student-athletes who have won All-Conference, All-Region and Conference Player of the Year Awards (in both college and high school). Moreover, athletes who have received my instruction have gone on to play in Europe, college, and have gone from middle school to make their varsity programs in their first year in high school. Finally, I've been fortunate enough to coach a student-athlete who would be one a of a few student-athletes who, each year, are placed on the McDonald's All-American team.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I focus on the fundamentals of basketball. I spend a session or two observing the student- athlete's shooting form, passing capabilities, and ball handling strengths and weaknesses. I speak with and listen to the athletes and their parents to get an idea of what they want to gain from our sessions. Once both my observations and their goals have been completed I come up with a plan to get the athlete where they want to be. I specialize in helping posts, wings and point guards reach their potential.
