About

Hey there! I'm Melissa, and photography has been a part of my story for years now — as a professional photographer, and as a photography teacher at two local private high schools.

Teaching photography surprised me. Watching a student go from "I have no idea what I'm doing" to "wait, I actually love this" never gets old. Patience is easy when the rewards are that good.

When I'm not in the classroom, you'll find me behind the camera specializing in branding and senior sessions — check out my work at www.melissapriorphotography.com or come say hi on Instagram @melissapriorphotography.

Cameras, classrooms, whatever — it's really all about the people for me. That's what gets me out of bed in the mornings. 📸
