About
At Commonwealth Shooting Academy we provide our students with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to safely, properly, and accurately. Handle, use, and store there firearms. Our number one focus is on FIREARMS SAFETY. Whether the class is designed for a new shooter or a experienced veteran the first and last thing we emphasize is SAFETY. There are many fun and exciting ways to use firearms recreationally, as well as for home defense, and selfedefence use. But they all begin with SAFETY, and safety begins with proper training, and proper training begins with Commonwealth Shooting Academy.
I like the fact that I have the privilege to introduce new people to shooting and to shooting sports. I enjoy working with new shooters and helping them develop their skills. I also enjoy helping experienced shooters to develop and expand their skills.

How did you get started teaching?
I have always enjoyed the outdoors. Camping, hiking, boating, fishing, and hinting. I particularly enjoyed the shooting sports. I started at a young age with archery and shooting air rifles. As I got older I started shooting rifles, shotguns, and eventually pistols both for fun and competitively. I work in the law enforcement & security industry and have done so for 20 years now. One of them things I always enjoyed was training new officers. There is something rewarding and helping others learn a new trade or skill and ensuring that they do learn to do things the right way from the start. This is what got me interested in becoming a firearms instructor. I took classes to become a certified range safety officer and later as a firearms instructor. I really enjoy working with new students introducing them to firearms and the Shooting Sports and helping them develop their skills and learn fun and new ways to safely use firearms.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with many different types of students. Men, women, adults, children, and persons with disabilities. New shooters, and experienced shooters. I do not discriminate I am more than happy to teach anyone who is willing to learn.
