About
I am Japanese native born in Osaka, Japan. After receiving ISS Translation Certificate, I have worked in Japanese corporate sectors for number of years including Epson, Starbucks HQ (worked with Starbucks Japan). Then colleagues and friends started asking me questions such as:
"How can I learn Japanese in fun way?"
"My kid wants to know hiragana so she can identify things in Anime."
"My high school kid is self-learning Japanese but having issues. Can you please help him?"
"How can I effectively communicate and email to Japanese businessperson? I'm not familiar with Japanese culture."
This prompted me to help people to fully enjoy Japanese language, communication, and Japanese culture.
Japanese is a very unique language. Hiragana and Katakana are the base of the language alphabet, but we need to know beyond the combinations of characters and grammar usage. Also, Japan has much more to offer besides Sushi, Tofu, and Anime :)
I can show you a fun, comprehensive way to learn Japanese language and go over some of "what", "why" of Japanese culture. Welcome to the world of Japan!
It is all about reaching out and helping people. I love solving each individual's problems and make him/her reach the goal.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My Japanese curriculum is tailored to individual needs from conversational/writing lessons for small children, high school/college students, and business communication to professionals. FYI, I am currently teaching Japanese online due to COVID-19 from my Mercer Island location.
I offer one 30 minute free consultation to see if new student and I are good fit.
