About
As a former Learning Disability kiddo (undiagnosed back then, I learned later that I suffered from a mixture of working memory issues and auditory processing difficulties) I can relate with the struggles my students go through when trying to learn. As a former Special Education teacher I have seen how easy it is for students to fall behind, in an education system built upon standardized testing and striving for every student to be at the same academic level AT THE SAME TIME.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
In my years of teaching, I have learned one important thing that I apply to my teaching philosophy every day: every student can learn, and every student learns differently and at different rates. To pressure children to be at the same academic level at all times, is a difficult and anxiety-inducing task for students, teachers, AND parents. Without intensive one-to-one tutoring many students simply cannot keep up, especially if they do not learn well in a large classroom with little support. I understand there is not always time after the school day to go over homework. It's especially hard for parents that have children who struggle with learning. This is where I come in. I strive to help all children (that I'm capable of reaching) to see learning as a fun experience, not a daunting one.
