Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically, for a private client we will have a phone consultation to acquaint, clarify desires and see if we're a good fit. For Divine Play group classes, an invitation will follow shortly after acceptance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taught yoga for five years, practiced for ten years, and I trained for a 400 hour yoga certificate focused primarily on Raja Yoga (the yoga of the mind), meditation and Power Vinyasa. Over the years my interests and practice expanded to Kundalini yoga, Medical Meditation and creating customized guided relaxation meditations as well as sleep hypnosis for creating new and beneficial programs of the mind. My specialty is also in pranayayma breathwork.
I have taught yoga privately in person and through Zoom, to large groups, private events, and in grade schools.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For private one on one sessions, a tailored package is created based on the services and results desired by the student. The scale is between $65 - 180 for class or package.
For group classes (through online zoom and parks), class is $18.
How did you get started teaching?
My love for yoga began in a hot yoga studio and my regular practice had healed my lower back injury.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with a variety of students ranging from 3 years olds to 65 year olds.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I made a leap and moved to Kauai in December of 2019. I lived there with my daughter for the last 8 months and it's been an incredible and expansive journey. I am now back in WA to continue teaching and serving the PNW 😊🙏❤.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
We are always at the right place and at the right time.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The right questions will come at the time they are needed.
