About

I'm an Iyengar Yoga teacher, graduated from 4 years of teacher training and certified at Intermediate Junior I level by RIMYI Iyengat Yoga Institute in Pune, India.

I started teaching yoga in 2013, and since then have taught hundreds of classes. first in Poland, and then in Seattle, after I relocated here in 2016.

Iyengar Yoga is a powerful and sophisticated discipline which can be practiced in all stages of life. The benefits are far-reaching and will assist the practitioner in every aspect of daily living.

Each Iyengar Yoga class is a unique sequence developed by the certified teacher to guide students through a safe and systematic progression. Through skilled instruction and practice, students learn to penetrate beyond the physical body to the inner layers of mind, energy and spirit, gaining vitality, clarity and calm through the practice. Teaching is oriented towards gradual but steady progress. Teacher will provide clear demonstrations of each posture. and is skilled in the use of simple props to maximize the opening and awareness of the body, providing support to the less flexible, and extra extension to the more advanced student.

Yoga is my passion since I found it in 2007. I see many benefits from yoga to my health and I love to share the teachings of yoga with other people. Every class is adding new aspects to asanas, and it is a long journey which can be continued over many, many years.

I love to share with people the joy of practise and to see, how they enjoy the class and transform their bodies. Every class is different and there is always an element of surprise and also gratitude. The classes differ from dynamic to slow pace, from beginners to advanced, there is such a diversity! The therapeutic classes are very special, it is great to see how specific asanas, often supported with props, are helping people to reduce the pain and to improve their health.

    Frequently asked questions

The process depends on the expectations of the student, her/his experience and body conditions, like injuries, flexibility etc.

The Iyengar method through consecutive deepening of the poses and progress from easy to more advanced asanas supports student's effort leading to strength and flexibility of the body.

When after 3 years of practice of Iyengar yoga I was in 2010 joining the teacher training, my goal was first of all to deepen my own practice and to get in depth knowledge about yoga philosophy and tradition. The training took 3 years and starting from 2nd year we had to practise yoga teaching and to show progress on this area. So I started to teach small group of student's in y friend's yoga studio. I was suprosed how much joy it gave me to observe how the students respond to the instructions and are abe to make progress. After the Iyengar Yoga Teacher Certification assessment in 2013 I had no doubts about teaching - I continued to teach since then, all the time learning from my students and gaining experience.

I taught different levels of students - introductory trainings for people new to yoga, classes for beginners and intermediate students up to advanced classes.

I worked also with senior people and people with injuries and limitations in the body.

I have great joy teaching community classes to polish community in Seattle. The classes started in 2018 with students who never before did yoga and considered themselves "too stiff, too old, too weak" etc. Now, after a year, I see huge progress and a lot of joy given to the students by yoga. This makes me very grateful to the Iyengar method of yoga and to my teachers.

It takes effort to find a teacher who suits your expectations, take a class with few teachers, see how your mind and body respond to their teaching, how do you like them as persons.

In yoga the teacher-student relantionship is quite close, and requires the student to trust the teacher absolutely. The teacher needs to make sometimes manual corrections on your body - see how you feel with it, it should feel like professional touch without any emotional background. Also, the teacher has sometimes to challange the student, while securing his safety in the poses. Look for a teacher with whom you feel safe and comfortable.

    - what is your goal? Is there any specific issue you wnt to work with?

    - what is your current condition - how is your general health, do you have any recent injuries? Do you have pain?

    - what kind of work do you have? Is it a sitting job? How many years do you work like this?

    - how much time can you dedicate to practice? How often do you want to come to the class? Are you willing to practice at home? How often?
