Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work on a semester basis anywhere from 12-16 weeks (longer if student desires). We will have a first meeting to get to know eachother, at that time I will go over the custom curriculum I have created just for you! Based on your experience (none required), and desires of what you would love to learn! Then at our first lesson we will begin with exercises to train your eye and work our way up to bigger projects throughout your term with me. We will have alot of fun and I can't wait to meet all my new students!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied art my entire life and taken lots of different private art lessons myself. I have a Bachelor's degree in Art History, as well as 3 minors, two of which are Museum Studies and Studio Arts. While in college I worked in galleries, and was a student teacher for several classes. I curretnly work full time as a the production manager in an art gallery locally where I teach evening classes. I love to teach, and I love art, so this is my dream career in bringing the arts into other people's lives. Everyone has an artist in them I truly believe that.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
