About

Hello!

I gained an interest in clarinet from a young age and started before my school allowed it. Officially I’ve been playing since I was 10 and have always enjoyed mentoring my fellow clarinetists in my section regardless of our playing levels.

Anything I notice, I’ll point out and help eliminate bad habits and guide you to harness your skills. “Fundamentals are the building blocks of fun”. While most of what I teach may come off as tedious. I will always try to leave the lesson with something fun or helpful to carry with you as the lessons progress.

22 years of playing experience and about 13 years of it I’ve spent playing in the area as a sub, or Principal clarinetist of orchestras and band ensembles in the area. My favorite shows so far have been the Sibelius Symphony 2 with the Seattle Symphony as a 2nd clarinetist, recording some music at Octave 9 inside Benaroya Hall, the Principal of the Puget Sound Symphony Orchestra. For now I’m sitting in with friends in the Edmonds Band but ask me what I’m working on and I might have a show elsewhere going on!

If you’re a student in the area, you might even see me pop in to your schools band room working with your band director as I’m the Director of Educational Services and woodwind specialist for Kennelly Keys Music!
