Cassie is an amazing artist and an equally amazing teacher. All of our lessons were conducted via Skype. She is in Washington, I’m in Louisiana and we have never met in person. At most, I had average sketching skills, am in my 50’s and have never been able to comprehend colors or how to mix them, but she made it so easy to understand. I am my worst critic, but after completing my first painting, even I was impressed! Sixteen paintings in and people have mistaken all of them for photographs!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I first assess what my students goals in learning are. Once we determine that we move to what their current skill level is. We talk about colors, drawing and then move on from there. Each student learns at a different pace and has different goals, so I work my lessons to each person.
