Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A zoom call to assess needs and goals, then set up a free in person or virtual first session/class. This 45 minute class is individualized, using flowing yoga movement designed specifically for the student, to increase flexibility, unravel tension and pain, and followed by slower mindful movements, ending with restful meditation and breath practices. If the student decides to proceed, a 3-5 session pack is purchased and class is set--can be in person or virtual. Each session proceeds according to the wellness goals of the student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Master's degree in Education
Advanced certifications in yoga, trauma informed yoga, stress reduction mindful breath and movement, and energy medicine.
Ten years experience as a yoga teacher for general public, preschool to senior citizens, and recovery groups. Private practice for two years, please see google reviews.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
35 per class, or 120 for a four class pass. Once or twice a week is optimal, and four weeks shows improvement in every student in release of pain, tension and tightness.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching yoga as part of a creative movement class to kids k-6th grade nearly 20 years ago. I continued my training as a yoga teacher, a school teacher, and a workshop leader. Now, I offer classes to all ages!
